How do you guys rig 8 trolling poles and keep them from getting all tangled up before your get to the place that you are going to troll? In other words I have tried it at home at the unloading dock with nothing but a tangled up mess that takes up valuable fishing time getting them untangled. If there a trick guys or is this something I have to live with?

jigpole, It's tuff. Are you talking about tolling 8 poles by yourself. I can do four but 8 will be a big challange for me by myself. Trolling is better (easier to set up and set hooks)with 2 people. I talked with Duck-Jerky about this at the Christmas party and he said that after you get in position to start trolling, one person is on the trolling motor while the other person sets up his poles. That makes perfect sense to me. Don't know why I didn't think of it. If you're by yourself, cut down on the number of poles. Maybe there are some better sugesstions. I would like to hear em since I fish by myself most of the time. By the way, I'm gonna try some trolling tomorrow. I may start out with only 2 poles and increase to 4 before I'm done. It's tuff keeping in position even with a ligth breeze and trying to set up poles for trolling.

Hey Jigpole I usually troll with 6 rods using the Capps and Coleman rigs. I hook the top hook in one of the eyes on the rod that will allow me to hook the bottom hook into the cork part of the rod. Then I put 3 of the rods in a bundle and I use 3 pieces of velcro to keep them tight together. I had the same problem you are speaking of, by the time I arrived at the lake or the spot I was spending to much time untangling rods. Since I started using this method I haven't had any problems with tangles.
