Most Cabelas' reels will come with line and backing prespooled, but if they don't, it's not particularly hard.
You could also hit up a local fly fishing shop and have them show you how the first time.

I guess if you wait too long you miss a good deal. The combo in the link from Cabelas had this combo for $159.99 yesterday. Today it's $199.99. LOL , should have bought yesterday. Now I think I'll choose a separate rod and reel .

Haha well that will give you a chance to look at the tfo I really think you will be much happier with the performance over the rod you were looking at. Also ask my vacuum cleaner my truck door and my truck tire about their no-fault lifetime warranty Lol. When I told the guy my vacuum cleaner caught the tippit in the rolling brush and sucked about 6 inches up into breaking it as it went. he laughed And said never heard that one and handed me another one.

I would go with the tfo professional II for sure. Also I would go with the real with the larger Arbor really helps retrieval line a lot quicker.

I have never cast one to my knowledge I have one of there lower end start ups it cast ok and is deficient. But with the warranty when I got with Temple Fork I never look back and leg cast excellent. Is deficient. But with the warranty when I got with Temple Fork I never look back and they cast excellent. But if you're not sure you're going to stick with it you may want to stay with one of the low-end starters I don't know that there is that much price difference to worry about it the product quality differential is much greater than the price difference Imo.

They have tfo professional combos set up line and all ready to go. Just make sure if it does not have a loop to loop connection get them to add one on before you leave.

What is the loop to loop connection? Sorry it's all new to me now. Basically when chances arrive to actually go fishing will be few times a year but I'm the type of person that prefers good quality regardless .

Never mind the LTL tie. Saw a video on YouTube and I got it. I've used those in the past but never realized what it was called .

I have the Cabelas 3 weight Three Forks combo and for the price right now 39.95 dollars how can you beat that? The reel also has a drag adjustment and will handle the occasional big fish. I second the vote for the TFO Processional rods I have the 2 weight and have landed bass in the 3lb plus range.

There is two different rods/reel combos tho at Cabelas , small price difference . One has the Prestige Plus Reel and the other has the Prestige Premier Reel . Which is better ?? TFO Professinal II Prestige Plus

I have had both reels. I like the Prestige Premier Reel better. It's lighter, has a larger arbor. The reviews on the prestige plus indicate some drag issues, Mine never had that issue. Both Combos that you listed do not come with a good line and backing, the line already has the loop on the tip. These are just my honest opinions. My wife has the 8 1/2" TFO Casting for Recovery 5wt. It is a TFO Pro II like you are looking at, its just pink and purple.
