I know this has probably been asked before but I would like some help with what line everyone uses on their Carolina rigs. Main line, leader, diameters, size of weights for different presentations. Anything and everything will help guys. Thanks

The driving force and secret desire of every bass fisherman, is to one day be a crappie fisherman............Could it be that the good Lord just smilies and looks the other way when a fisherman tells a lie?

Main line 20# Invizx with 12-15# P Line CXX. 1oz lead weight followed by a glass bead and swivel. I reel my weight to the tip of the rod and have the bait hang between the last two guides on the rod. That is how the King of the C-rig (Paul Elias) does his so I do the same. I figured if that works for him it will work for me. It does.
If I am fishing shallow and around a lot of timber that I need to crawl the rig over I will step down to a 1/2 oz. weight.
I usually fish it with the rod tip pointed at the water and drag it with a sideways motion. If I am fishing timber (lay downs under water) I will drag it with the rod tip up because that helps get the weight over the log.
Baits...just about any soft plastic will work but my favorites are Grande bass rattle snake and baby snake, LFT ring frys, Zoom french frys, super flukes, lizards, and 10 inch worms. I use a 2/0-3/0 hook for smaller baits and up to a 5/0 on the 10 inch worm. I use an Owner rigging hook.
Equipment...I use a Dobyns 784 Extreme with a Lews Super Duty. 6.4-1
