OK guys, a little table talk. I'm going crappie fishing this weekend and I've narrowed the "where" to 4 choices.
1) Lake of the Pines (My favorite but the water is just so high) 2) Lake Murvaul (Not really sure what to expect) 3) Caddo (same as Murvaul) 4) Toledo Bend (thinking about Circle Drive up the river, but unsure if the water is clear enough).
Any advice as to my best bet (and why) would be greatly appreciated.

For some reason, I'm thinking Murvaul.

Only problem with Murvaul on a weekend is finding a place under that little bridge. You'll need to be there really early....like dark thirty.

For some reason, I'm thinking Murvaul. Jason, have you been on Naconiche or Nac lately? That might be a couple more choices for him.

Just got back from Naconiche. Not a single bite. Got 5 at Nacogdoches out by the dam yesterday, but only fished a couple hours.

I've been told they have been catching some absolute hogs out of caddo recently with limits coming easily out of 10 to 14 fow. I don't know where as I have never been to the lake but plan a trip in my near future

Thanks guys; appreciate the insight. Pines has been my go-to place this time of year but I'm willing to try other options this week to get the "Thump" given all the high water. Been to Johnson's Ranch (Caddo) a couple years ago. Good place to fish but wondering if the high water has the bite off there as well.

I fished pines hard for two day for a tournament and managed 1 6inch fish. I would definetly go to caddo if you have been there before

A man showed up the day before the tourney with his friend with a two man limit from caddo. Don't know why he signed up to fish the tourney

Welcome to the forum, I'm pretty new myself and will tell you that these fishermen are a pretty awesome bunch. Be careful what you ask because you will get an answer. Good luck on your trip.

LOP is fishing really good if you put the time in finding the fish.
