This is probably a stupid question but...I want to replace the two fittings that are at the top of the transom that allow any water that flows over the back of the transom to drain. The ones that most people put their drain plug in to store it between trips......what are these fittings called. I can't find them anywhere. It is a 1990 champion boat. Thanks

Dave

Dave, I'm sure you can get them from N TX Fiberglass. The brass ones require a tool to install. You might want to just take the boat to them. I bet they would change them out for a reasonable fee.

Try boatersworld.com

They have some nylon ones made by Tempo that dont require the special tool to install.

I've dealt with them several times and had good experiences.

hey scanos I am having the same problem trying to replace mine. I just replaced my transom on a 1987 Alumacraft that was roted out. Anyone got any ideas about what to do about the special tool? I would like to replace some type of orignal one.

It is called..splash well drain---here is one on eBay..TH Marine makes them, so North Texas Fiberglass or any marine supplier should be able to get them if not in stock..
