Picked up this 1998 champ 202 in September of last year. It had not been fished out of in 7 years and wasn't used much before that. It's one of the cleanest older boats I've ever seen. When I got it, it had original tmotor, sonars (minus a modern flasher in the dash) and all original interior. Everything was the same as it was in 1998. I waged back and forth on selling it and buying a newer boat or keeping it and updating it. I chose to update it since it was such a cool old boat. The updates include: new 82# digital tour tmotor, new batteries, recessed the foot pedal in front deck, humminbird 899si on front, 998si on dash, 6" atlas, 12' Talon, and sold the old efi then bought a 2004 225 opti. I've done other small things to it like replace pumps, new trailer lights etc but that was most of the big changes. Today was first day out with all of it on there and it is a fun boat to fish out of. Just wanted to post pics my fishing partner and myself have put a lot of work into this boat. Between the two of us I think it's the oldest boat either one of us has ever owned but by far one of the coolest.

I agree. I've never liked a skinny boat but the front deck is so long it's really pretty comfortable to fish out of. I had a 206 elite and loved the room in it but this 202 is a lot more fun to drive
