I am looking for a place with great ribs. My wife likes the small spare ribs and I like the big beefy ribs. There was a place in Kaufman for a while that had Eddie Dean ribs that were awesome but they weren't there too long. I had some really good one's in Glen Rose at Hammonds BBQ but looking for a place a little closer to home. What place do you like?

I bought a slab at Soulmans in Terrell Monday. It was a small slab, St. Louis trim, was probably about a 3.5 lber before they trimmed and smoked it. But the flavor! It was cooked perfect. Over Hickory.
Eddie Deen has a place in Terrell again. It's called "Hickory Roots". Same building he was in before, next to Pop's Fried Chicken. Haven't tried his ribs yet but his brisket was real good.
Can't help you with the beef ribs. Pecan Lodge is supposed to have a massive rib. It gets great reviews. I've been there once but they had already sold out. They're in Deep Ellum near Downtown Dallas if you want to deal with all that.

And I'm right there with you on the Hammond's Ribs in Glen Rose.

Longoria's in Everman & Off The Bone BBQ on Mansfield Hwy in Ft. Worth both have great ribs.

roadtrip - Running errands Saturday. Scurry to Crandall to Kaufman to Forney. No reason not to go ahead and run to Terrell to Hickory Roots. I sure hope they are the same one's that used to be in the square at Kaufman. That was some good food.
Near Nuthin - Thanks for the info. Almost Stock show time so I now have a couple of places to check out when I head to Cowtown.

Let us know how those ribs at Hickory Roots turn out. I was actually heading there Monday, but they were closed so I went to Soulmans instead. I love ribs.

Angelos was good at one time. Now people eat there for convenience.
