Went down to the ole creek today and the sandbass where on fire! Forgot my stringer at home so I had to repurpose a piece of wire into a stringer. Threw about 7 hogs back then decided to start keeping them ended up with 13 HOGS!  blue and chartreuse was the choice of color OHHH and to those who live by that 4 pound line nothing against it or y'all but I used braid no leader nada. Just plain old power pro in mossgreen!

Nice. I like 10 lb power pro myself. 2 lb diameter, and I lose a lot less lures. Not to mention no line twist. What part of Texas you in?

It's not RC, I'm in North Texas. Caught these the yesterday only fished 45 mins had class early next morning. [img] http://imgur.com/a/4iHF1[/img]

Hard to say if THE run has started. They'll follow the shad up creeks just like crappie. Also, all the current has been drawing them up. The fishing below lavon has been like a good creek run for quite a while. I do think most are expecting an early run this year though. Females are full of eggs, and some males are oozing milt.
