I've found in the past that if the water at WRL is flowing or muddy they just don't bit in the lake or the creek. give it a week with out a muddy flo and you'll see the white cranes start lining the creek and that will tell you the gizzard and thread fin shad are back up the creek, that's when the sand bass and crappie fallow. most of the crappie cought up the creek are North of the "Big Hole". hit the bends and the tree roots and lay down timber. FYI, if the lake water temp goes down to 45 deg most all the crappie run up the creek. I found a few years ago the water temp hit 45 and I could'nt get a bit on the South end untill the water temp went back up. If the water temp stay's above 45 I can catch them year round in 6-17ft on the South end. 2.6 lbs is the record...who's gona beat it????
