 Spring Blues - Wishful thinking

Here is one I got on a small pond in Arkansas last year during the spring. Caught this one on a buzzbait. This Momma was hungry and was chasing my bait in the shallow pads. She looked like Jaws after it, with her dorsal fin in the air, and a wake of water coming up behind the bait, exploding on it. I let her go to care for her young ones. Pretty skinny fish, she must have just laid her eggs. She was only about 6 pounds, but had a massive head on her. We fished this pond with Scum Frogs on braided line and it was a blast. My buddy hung a 10 pounder on the same pond. Great fishing hole in the spring as it is covered in Lilly Pads. Can't wait!!!
