 APT/TXKAA Shootouts return for 2016

 At the requests of the Anglers, the Shootouts will make their return for 2016. I'll just make this a short post with the dates and lil about the format(we'll post full rules and more details soon). Brief explanation for anyone not familiar with the shootout format. We meet for a Captains meeting on Friday evening at Angler's Pro Tackle where you get your identifier and we go over the rules. You are then free to fish any/as many public bodies of water you would like until the Weigh in, which will be Sunday afternoon at Angler's Pro Tackle. Entry Fee is $30 plus optional $10 for big bass. The dates will be the following weekends. 4/9/16 6/18/16 8/13/16 10/15/16(Championship) Stay tuned...

Here's an interesting twist to the Shootouts this year...
There will be a side pot option. It will Be an optional $40, and the top placing person to buy in takes it all.
This will allow the entry fees to stay affordable, but add some cash for you high rollers!
Any questions, don't hesitate to ask...
Stay tuned... we got more things in the works.

Just got some pretty cool news for you guys planning to fish the shootouts...
Biggest Bass of the year will be awarded a Replica of said fish. The only requirement is that you fish at least two of the shootouts this year.
I don't know about y'all, but I think this is really cool... what do you guys think???

Word from APT is that this series has been cancelled for 2016? I don't see any mention of it on the TXKAA facebook group...or any mention of any of the series here..
