The Republic can survive a Barack Obama, who is, after all, merely a fool. It is less likely to survive a multitude of fools such as those who made him their president.

For wading i use 6'6 to 7'0 medium light to medium rods, most of which are ARS H3, Allstar, or Ugly Stik customs. For the surf it can go from 5'6 extra heavy boat rods (running bait out for big sharks) all the way to my 12ft ARS rods. Just depeneds on what youre comfortable casting. I can cast my 8ft ARS boat rod just as far as i can my 12ft just because ive become comfortable with it.

All of my bass and salt rods are 7'. The only difference is the action.

You will get some extra distance in casting, but for me I do a lot of finess fishing and that extra distance on a high quality rod equates to more sensitivity and better feeling in the rod. For inshore I got a few Falcon Cenderis, offshore got me tallus's and a few penn standups, for surf fishing I just use penn senator boat rods because I really dont cast.
