Anyone fished Choke lately, I hear it's been bad. Wanting to go but it's a five plus hour drive. I would like some input first. Thanks

I might be wrong but when I was young and so was Choke, they had a lot of bass tournaments.I use to find allot of large bass carcasses on shore. It had allot of fishing pressure even for cats.I do not know if they kept up the stocking, to back up the fishing pressure. It is sad, it is a very beautiful lake, with all the flooded timber.I still go.

I live in Corpus and I won't drive 40 minutes to fish Choke. Absolute waste of a once premiere lake. Since all the grass was killed off and the drought, the water is bad and the lake is very low. If you want to drive that distance go to Falcon or Amistead.
