I recently bought a 2009 skeeter with a 150 vmax. 1st boat!!!!! Here is me provlem. With just me in the boat, it'll jump out of the hole in a fee seconds and run well. You put a second person in it and it doesn't jump on plane. My passenger sat on the front casting deck and it will jump up on plane. I've beed told that my jack plate is probably out of adjustment. Has anyone dealt with this?

Center of propshaft should be 3 1/2" below pad, or call Steve.

Robert,

Since you mention this is your first boat and I don't know anything about you I have to ask.....do you know how to use the engine's trim properly as well?

I think so. I am starting with it all the way down and adjusting on plane. It is great with one person. Add a second and it just wont get up it just rides nose up.

http://www.stevescustomprops.com/faq.html#How_do_I_adjust_the_Prop_shaft_engine_height_

use the link above, set your plate so the shaft is 3.5" and go from there, adjust up till you just start to lose some water pressure then drop back 1/4" or so and call it good.

you may need some prop work too, prop may be wrong for that hull, call steves and talk to them.
