hey shut-up, that is a very interesting link...i used 2 work for the soil conservation service and we shot topog maps of farmland like this...thanks for sharing this...very helpful

The double numbers are the depth of the water. The river channel is visible...the tight gradients between depths.

Well I know the water at the bridge is 16 ft deep and it says 5 and where is 30 it says 9

you can get hot spot contour maps from Bass Pro, Cabelas, or check local bait. They have a chart you can use to gauge how deep the water is in that area. I had to get someone to show me how to read the water depth and it helped a lot especially on planning out fishing trips. Here is the website to see if they have the lake you are wanting. www.fishinghotspots.comIf that doesn't work the navionics app is good. Hopefully this helps

Thanks guys, both of these places look good. Our lakes are getting old and filling in and washing out, after this year we will all be learning when they move back in.
