I am planning a short vacation to Falcon at the end of March and would like some information on where to stay. Need some place safe for the boat with charging. Also if you have a phone number I would love it. Thanks

I'm going down there Feb. 17. We're staying at Beacon's Lodge. It's actually in Zapata and is right on the lake. They have their own ramp. I've never been there but it looks like the dood. I'll PM you the website.

We always stay at Falcon Hts. Motel, down by the dam and the State Park. We go there 6-8 times a year. Its not fancy, but its clean and friendly. There's an outside, covered kitchen where you can BBQ. You park your boat next to the room, which has A/C/Heat, hot water, refrig, microwave, and is clean. Tel # 956-848-5229. The owner, Carlos, is also a guide there. Tell 'em we sent ya. Give us a report, please!

I think I would sleep in my boat and save a hotel bill.

Stayed at Beacon Lodge last year. I would do it again if and when I go back. Parked the boat right next to the room. Ramp right there.

Beacon is the place to stay. They have thier own ramp and it is protected from the wind. Lots of good places to fish within a couple of miles from there.

Stop crying and fish!

I am heading down there Feb 16th. This will be a first for me. Dont know anything about the area or the lake. My brother and a couple of his buddies are making the arrangements. I do not even know where we are staying. That's ok as long as the fish are biting. Speaking of fish......anybody have any advise fishing the lake in February????'
