Redsnappa and I had planned to go to Bob Sandlin yesterday as the water level according to the "Water Data for Texas" showed it as only being 4" high.
Then I got some reports from locals saying that that wasn't the case and the bite was extremely slow

We decided to go back out here on Fork....no sense in wasting gas for a poor bite
I've been catching some nice fish, just not many and a ton of dinks
12-29-15 w/Eric

Yesterday morning started off
COLD & WINDY, with a water temp of 55, but no crappie in the box

About 10:30 I found some fish and RS & I started slinging fish in the boat.
We were catching fish in 27-32 fow and the key was the jig had to be moving slowly

At approx. noon, we decided we better count our fish - We had 30 and only a few dinks

Ended the day with 33

I'm not certain if the water being 5 degrees cooler was the reason the fish decided to play, but it sure didn't hurt

No 2# fish, but 4 that were in the 1.75 range and a lot that were 12-14
All fish were caught on Black Emerald Shiner & Purple Passion Fade, yup, RS prefers the 1st batch of PP that Chart faded
