I've always liked Matuka flies, but have never tied any, until today. Here are my first two. These are on size 2 hooks, intended for local fish.. Sandbass, largemouth, crappie... whatever will hit them.

Might go take the canoe and try them at the Lavon spillway tomorrow, if they haven't opened up more gates.

That first fly is actually tied completely from our white chicken. Unfortunately I don't have a chartreuse chicken so I can't claim that for the second one. wink

John 5:24 Very truly I say to you, whoever hears my word and believes him who sent me has eternal life, and does not come into judgment, but has passed from death to life.

1Peter 3:18 For Christ also suffered once for sins, the righteous for the unrighteous, that he might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh but made alive in the spirit.
