If you're coming to the N. Texas area I would recommend booking a guide to make the best use of your time and $$. Chain pickeral on Lake Hawkins is a really fun fishing trip can produce LMB too, but needs to be done from a boat or kayak. Rob Woodruff - Woodruff guide service is a good start; he stays booked so you better hurry.

we usually slaughter the yellow bass this time of the year on Caddo Lake using fly rods . Mini jig flies, clousers fished on sink tip or full sink lines. Sometimes sink lines are not needed as fish are only 4-6 foot deep. Fish the Big Cypress channel at the bends, or just go where the boats have congregated.-p-
