Doubtful. Don't fish for crappie in rc, so not absolutely sure, but doubt they go that far.

the fish MIGHT make it to firewheel, but rarely go past 66.

Mike that happens more often than you think, lol. saw a game warden once fall off a huge pile in the middle of WRC. There were about 10 guys out there(including me) catching slab after slab, and magnum sandies, so he HAD to go check licenses and fish lengths. We were all good, and he tried to get back to shore and slipped in. His partner was laughing so hard he couldn't help him out. He finally got out, it was bitter cold he made a beeline for the truck, freezing his soaked tukus off!

True story.

Speaking of goijng tonight, yes I am but not to any of the creeks I have recently been hitting. This is one that was red hot about a month ago. I gave it a good rest, so now it is time to go see if anything is stirring after 10 pm.

I now have 36 fillets for my son's fish fry later this week. Fishbonz and I hit a spot that I have let sit dormant for about a month. To my knowledge, zero to very few people have even found it, much less fished it. Crappie were stacked! Sadly, most were dinks, but close, 9. somethings. But I got 3 decent ones. Between fishbonz and myself, We caught over 20 crappie, 3 bass, and at least 3 yellow bass that I can remember.

Fishbonz fell in love with my spot!

I left at 11:30 PM and he was still there. Hopefully he found the giant ones that live there.

Tonight, vertical fishing hollow body tubes. He a chartreuse with gold metal flake, red or orange head. Me tricolor hollow body on an unpainted 1/32 nd. oz head.

This one got his picture taken, and went back to his home:

Fun to fish with someone that enjoys a "new spot", quickly learns how to fish it, and proceeds to catch him some! Thanks, fishbonz, thoroughly enjoyed the company!

Rudy

Go Getcha some!

Rudy I`m going to call your spot "THE Penthouse"These came back to back at "THE PENTHOUSE" after you left on A Pink & Silver Crappie Max Jig because the other jig was totally destroyed! The one they loved sooo much was a BG minnow mind`r split tail.It was given to me a few minutes earlier before I met up with you by a fellow TFFer @ Bachman lake. Mad Mad props to you Augustin. That blu/Chrt split tail with the pepper flakes was the ticket!!They just would not leave it alone.& these came from "THE B" later on.

Caught 20 dink crappie, 3 keeper crappie, and 1 dink yellow bass between 7:50 and 8:30 tonight at the penthouse. Wife went with me, went for a walk around the penthouse while I fished. Tri color jig on 1/32 oz. unpainted jig head.

Weather like this, once it dries out a bit and stays cool to cold/should bring out strings like these on a more regular basis. Traditionally it has, anyway. Ah the good old days:

Feb, 2004, White Rock Creek downstream from Skillman Street.

Exactly how I modify my floats except i used the rounded orange ones, they seem to work just a little better than the others. I used a little super glue on some parts but even with no super glue they still work great!

Nice job on the vid!

Elm Fork, Frazier Dam area, under 183, between Regal Row and Grauwyler, out of its banks, from levee to levee. It will be a LONG time before one can get back in there to fish. When water does recede, that river will be overfilled from one end to the other with quality fish washing down from Lewisville and Grapevine! Can't wait.
