Deadsticking chart slabs and silver flukes from 6-noon over every dropoff from the spillway past wolf cove and into middle of main lake, not a single taker; so I'm just a guy who spent all morning attacking the side of my boat with an oar Marked layers of shad all morning everywhere we went usually with larger fish below them 10ft or so off the bottom. Guides were on the move all morning as well, so either the fish had terrible case of lockjaw or too busy eating real bait to mess with ours. Met a catfisherman near the spillway who says he caught a 95lb blue on saturday, maybe he ate all my hybrids... Anyone do better than I? Your techniques and/or magic tricks would be welcomed

It's been real tough lately. Water levels going up and down and really really warm water for this time of year.
A year ago yesterday we had a 200+ fish day on Tawakoni. Water temp was 47. Today it was 57.
Semper Fi This Veteran heavily medicated for your safety. Keep me fishing and all will be well.

A 95 lb blue would be about 9 lbs bigger than the current lake record.

Fish are on the move find them ,and throw a 4-6 inch bait at them Sassy shad have been working Nana ,and chart. with glitter the fish are still moving all over the lake to much to really get on them for Deadstickn IMO. (Water needs to cool off more.)

I was slow for me yesterday--picking up a striper every now and then until about 4pm then the lake exploded. Huge schools of birds and once the Fishmaster left and stopped running through the school- myself and 3 other boats stayed on them until about 20 before dark. I caught 25-30 hybrids biggest a little over 8. My trolling motor gave out at the end. I guess being on spot lock all day in the wind will run them low.

Great to hear you killed it [quote=Jedi-Ninja]. Yes the catfishermen even mentioned "coulda been a lake record if i wasnt too lazy to have it checked" I knew we should've stayed through the evening, but my low-morale overcame my better judgement..
