You can launch your boat at the marina on Benbrook. The ramp is underwater but they will let you launch from thair parking lot. Its kind of a hassle. I did it about a week and a half ago.

I called 2 days ago and lady said they will open Mustang on the 1st. So I hit Lake Graham crappie house and got skunked. Sure would like to get back in the creek to see what is shaking with other folks hitting up the creeks and catching fish. The biggest crappie I ever caught was in Mustang Creek back in the early 80's and my dad was fishing right next to me when he caught one the same size. Both fish were 18", hate I ddin't weigh them.

Yeah, Benbrook gots some goon fish, but shhhh! I bet the lake record has been broken numerous times. I had one last year that went 2.8 on my bathroom scales...maybe 2.6, but I am a fisherman. After reading what it took to certify, I just plugged my knife in.

do you have to pay to launch if its flooded out ? i dont think anybody is at the marina

mustang not open as of yesterday Did you launch at the marina or Mustang? I have an annual pass for Mustang, plus, it's a lot closer, so would rather go there. I went to Lake Alvarado, yesterday to record sonar to create a map with HB Auto charts. Mapped the whole south end of the lake. Map came out good, but the lake is mostly just flat.

Ruined our day.
Thanks Man....sorry...I tried to stay far enough away....Map came out good though...If your out this next weekend, I will probably be in the middle of the lake, away from the dam, if you want to fish a different part...I don't think there are many crappie in the middle section, at least none that I have found.
