Lowrance says mounting to shoot through the hull can decrease the downscan sensitivity. Does anyone have a downscan unit with transducer mounted in hull? I plan to mount on the transom initially but curious about how they work inside. If I choose to mount in hull I will have to create room. Right now I have at least 7 transducers in the hull. What is the best removal method?

Shoot-thru removal.
Block of wood on the side struck by a hammer. Chip away as much waste as you can around the edge before doing that.

you will not get a down imaging picture worth having if you mount it in the hull thanks, that is what I thought
