Is there anyone on the forum who paints boats. I have a 19ft. all aluminum.

It has the factory paint. I just want to paint the bottom and sides up to the rail.

If it's fairly new, it may be powder-coated, rather than painted. Your process will differ if so. From what I gather, powder-coat is some sort of plastic. Check with you boat manufacturer.

I've done a few here in Rockport. Latest one was done in an army green color paint that is used on air boats. Super major tough paint and waaaaaay slick, so as it will So slick that in order to keep it on the trailer yous HAVE to lash it down at the bow and stearn. NOT cheep paint by any means. $500 in paint for a 14ft boat, sides and bottom.
