It's my understanding there are changes in place for 2016 mostly in relation to the qualifying for the regional state team. Does anybody know the specifics? For example, is there going to be one regional state championship? If so, would this be a 2-day weekend event? This would be in addition to the current state championship for the federated clubs? Correct? Thinking of fishing some of these next year but would like to know the format and time required up front before making the decision. Thanks in advance.

Are you talking BASS nation clubs? There was vote in the region I'm in which is the SE region that there are 2 ways by qualifying for the top 6 of your club or qualifying for top 40 in your region. Then from those two the top 5 from each will represent the state team.

Actually I was off a bit. Last I heard they still have to vote on it.
