I am no expert but a friend of mine catches tons of good fish on this item. Take an alum.pie pan or something like that and cut 1/2 inch x 2 inch pieces then put on hook. I have not tried it yet but I have seen the quality catfish that he catches.Just a thought for something a little different GOOD LUCK.

Let us know how it works. My friend says that the shiny metal looks like a shad and they go for it.Like i said i have not had a chance to try it yet but will as soon as i can get on the lake.
