Dark colors work well. The LA Shad and Black Shad Slab Bandit from Crazy Angler are good ones. Also the Mr Fry from Thermocline Lures in girls nite out, and strawberry seed banana work well.

In Slab Bandits, I would start with Fire House Shad or River Cane. They are both bright colors to help with low visibility.

I would focus of dark colors. Purple and chart, or dark gray treated me best during the spring floods.

Took my son last week. While I was trying every jig color i could in the muddy water,he put twenty in the boat using minnows. I tried all the darker colors like I thought I should and caught nothing. With 15minutes left before we had to leave, I tied on an 1/8oz jiggum jig in Halo magic and caught 10 so fast I couldn't believe it. Go figure.

I'm using Dark Colors right now. I have not tried it yet but I heard bright orange in dirty water works really well.

I had to test the Texas Toast myself...confirmed good. Caught about 8 today with the largest going a little over 2lbs. I used both the regular sized and the smaller version of the jig. Great color!!
