Got hook in water at 10:20, and had to work a little harder than in recent trips. Got 20, but it took me to about 11:25 to get there. Had a LOT of company. At least 8 others there when I arrived, but by 11 pm, there was just me and a newcomer to the gang named Anthony with hooks still in the water. All a bunch of older gentlemen (like me!), that are regulars. All went home with fish, good ones. As I was leaving, Anthony caught a lmb in the 2.5 to 3 lb. range. He had a nice string of crappie and big bluegills. I kept nothing, threw back at least 7 that were keepers.

Crappie are all coming on hollow body tube jigs, fished on 1/32 and 1/16th. oz. unpainted jig heads. Three different techniques are working: jig under a bobber; jig cast out, then a slow, steady retrieve; vertical jigging where channel is deep enough near shore, or with a long crappie pole straight down into brush/debris piles.

Hey man the day I saw you last week I was coming from down the creek .I located a shallow ledge in the creek that went from 3ft to a sheer drop off of about 15 ft. If I didn`t have on polarized sun glasses I would have missed it.There is also a nice tree lay down within close proximity.Long story short, I fished the sheer drop off last night with my trusty Jig & nite bobber setup and managed to get 20 keepers out of that hole(sorry no pictures)before I moved from there up the creek and fished the spot behind what once was the Radio Shack.I got two more nice one`s back there before I got hung up and broke off. After that I moved up to the spot behind the little restaurant and met the little boy named Chris that has a ready conversation for anybody the will listen. He was asleep in a broken foldable chair with his rod in the water. I woke him up and told him he had a bite & to his surprise it was a Crappie on his line.He was using minnows and had only managed two.Since I had no further need for my bobber setup I used my jig rod and pulled up a few of which three went into his bucket. We shared a high five and he thanked me for the fish when his father came and told him he had school in the morning and it was time to go.I continued to fish.A little while later one of the regulars showed up (mr.Reese) and we also engaged in conversation while jigging until I decided to head for home.I put three in his bucket before I left. This Fall Creek Fishing thing is alright. thumb

Tried bachman this morning at the lemon bridge and walked to the edge of the woods. Didn't go any further since I didn't see a trail but didn't get a bite. Guess I was in the wrong area or bachman don't like me. First time in 30 years living here that I fished it. Went to wrc to the bend and all I'm going to say is the crappie have moved in

The creeks are definitely on fire now. Caught maybe 35 fish with 20 keepers tonight. Sunday caught 20 with 6 keepers.
