DPS has closed 751 at the bridge. May not reopen until Monday at 1. Lots of flooding around all the marinas. Our cove is amazing and full of floaters from the north end of the lake

Wish the new bridge was done and you could fish from the old one while the water is up. By the way will they be demolishing it?

By the way will they be demolishing it? it would make one heck of a fishing pier but don't expect anything logical like that. I attended a meeting early in the planning stages and asked that question. txdot would have allowed it to remain if a city would assume upkeep to state pedestrian standards and install additional railing to state pier standards. They estimated that cost at $850,000 up front and then annual maintenance.

We have had a home here for 35 years and would not advise anyone to get on this lake over the next few days. There is dangerous debris that has floated off the banks everywhere. The last time I personally saw something near this bad was in '95 when the level went to 440.94. We have beaten that today with 441.47. The record is 442.58 which we should surpass over the next few days of runoff. My neighbors and I have spent the morning lashing the boats to the pier pilings in anticipation of them floating off the straps. http://s176.photobucket.com/user/Maddawg...?sort=3&o=0http://water.weather.gov/ahps2/hydrograph.php?wfo=fwd&gage=pntt2

A couple hundred yards on each side would have worked well for a fraction of the cost.

Back to the original thread on the flooding on Twok. Can or will you guys be guiding during the high water and where would you target fish with all the new water?

Everyone needs to be aware that boat traffic could cause trouble right now for the folks who are living on or run a business at the lake right now. John

Bout to put on the waders and clean out the floaters from our cove... It is a mess, many private docks are damaged and it will be a while before the water drops to start repairs
