I think I found it. Does the name of the street that goes around the pond have "k" as the last letter?

maybe...

Why didn't you turn it into Sharelunker Program.

balazs,

OMG! what a catch! she's freakin HUUUUGE!!! i'm really happy for you!! when you catch her again, be sure to donate her to the sharelunker program so her kiddos & good genes will benefit the rest of us poor schmucks <lol>

FYI: you're going to be pretty popular on here with that kind of a catch. just a heads-up that i've shared some of my favorite fishing spots & they ended-up being picked clean & trashed. i recommend that you only share your spot with friends & folks you know & trust.

i can't wait to see the mess of lunkers you catch this spring wink
congrats again!!!

hehe, thanks bass lady. Guys i caught a 7 and a 9 today, pics coming soon. I also got broken off by one that was well over 10. It was a monster, i was using 10 pound test and he stripped the line off my reel. I got him close and he snapped it under some dock legs. Damn. Oh well, next weekend me and a few friends are going to try to catch some monsters.

I don't blame you for throwing her back, any loser can kill a fish like that but it takes a real man to release her to live on. Great job. I have never understood the got to keep everything I catch mentality. Its your choice but if we all did that there would eventually be nothing left to catch. I never keep LMB anymore I did when I was a younger man but haven't in about 15 years or longer. I keep crappie, white bass and catfish but not the LMB. I used to go to this nice little pond in DeSoto off of Beltline and I caught several nice bass around 5lbs or so and would always release them then one year in the spring this loser showed up when the bass were on the nests and would go nest to nest throwing lizzards on them and bothering the poor girls till they would pick up the thing and wham he would catch them and keep them. I got in a big argument with the guy and almost got in a fight but let it go and now there is nothing left in that pond to catch.

Very nice fish.. why haven't you answered the question about not taking it in for the share a lunker program? Actually, your doing yourself and Texas a disservice for not taking it in to be honest. Share a lunker serves a purpose... it's your right I guess to throw it back, but it seems there's more value to try to keep it alive and turn it in. Might see what you can do if you hook into her again.
