Throwing this out there to those who might be interested.Tommie and Jared Roper are on the crappie circuit.I inquired about a class Jared calls the Crappie Academy,wanting to know when/where the next one might be held at.He responded by stating it will be called,"Texas Crappie Gathering" at Lake O'The Pines on April 1-2 2016.The cost is 55 pp and 65 for late registration.On Friday evening they will have the "Welcome Low Country Bowl ( shrimp,sausage,corn,potatoes and sides) door prizes and a seminar.On Saturday,there will be All Day Classes....He needs 10 people to commit to get this set up and going.RSVP in the next 7 days.Thanks in advance!

There is a crappie club called WCCC Williams creek crappie club, located at Fishermans cove, Lake Fork They meet the second saturday of most months. They offer a couple of Academys thruout the year. What i like about this club over other clubs is the fact they truly are out to help all anglers learn how to catch crappie, not just tournaments. The people in the club willingly give out information including gps coordinates. Family friendly and have many women enrolled. Club is averaging around 110 members.
