What's the best "fish story" you have heard lately? You know the kind that you know can't be true and you're sure the person telling it actually believes it. An example would be, "I caught a limit of 2 lb crappie today." Go.

I saw one about a week ago Bobcat said he caught a boat load with some girl named Chris.ha

this past spring some guy fishing across the bridge from me was telling me about a 4lb. crappie that was caught there a couple days earlier. I just passed it off as a fish story until a few days later when I asked the park ranger about it and she verified it.

Unless your on Navarro Mills, a 4lb. Crappie would be a lake record in 95% of Texas lakes.

She couldn't tell me if it was a black or white crappie...I'm assuming it was a white. No doubt it was a lake record as the current big crappie for Martin Creek is 2.50lbs. I would like to have seen it.

My best crappie story is:
Went fishing about a month ago on NM caught a limit, went the next day and caught "0" legal crappie....
Best I can do at the moment.....
Guess I need to go to Stone with DW... RC crappie has lock jaw.
Just saying.
(Come on Spring)
Crappie fishing... what else is there ??
