This is an email from a co worker. Has anyone heard of a rash of car thefts at Hubbard?
I would advise you to not launching your boat at the Texas Queen boat ramp. I launched mine there on Saturday and came back to find my truck broken into. I had the police come out and apparently, I have not been the only one lately. The robberies have ranged from break-ins like mine to stolen trailer tags.
Sucks you cant have anything nice these days!!!

I have noticed at times, window glass on the ground in some of the parking spaces. Looks like they will break the glass to get in. Just don't leave valuable stuff in plain site in your vechile. If you are worried about your trailer tags, take the plate off your trailer and put it inside your vechile. I'd sure like to catch a few of these guys on video breaking into a vechile.

Yep jsmove, they got me on saturday morning at the Texas Queen as well. I'm not sure how the heck the got into my truck? The alarm was set, yet they still got in and took my beer coller, electric filet knife a carton of cigs my GPS and some loose change. Thank goodness they overlooked the tool boxes. Guess I shouldn't leave some much crappie in my truck.
Any how, I didn't call the police but after my bud and I were thinking we're pretty sure we saw who was doing the breakins. We pulled into the ramp about 6:00 am (still dark) when 2 guys pulled up like they were going to prep the boat for launching. Instead they came over to us asking questions like "Is this a public boat ramp? etc. One of the guys was telling my bud about how broke they were and couldn't afford cigs etc. I'll bet that was them.
Here's what I can remember about their description. 2 white males 30-40 years old pretty scruffy looking. They were pulling a yellow fiberglass boat with a p/u truck. The boat looked to be an old Skeeter stlye bass boat.
Hope the police catch those 2 rats. I went back Sunday and fished again and didn't have any problems, so hopefully they slithered back into the hole they came from.

Where should hide.. I could park my truck at the boat ramp and hide in some tall weeds waiting for them to bust my window out.
or
I could park my truck at the boat ramp and Lay in the floor of the truck in all black and wait for them to bust my window.
A Gloc-9 will company both scenarios

Hooker, don't forget to roll your windows down. The idiots will break them without testing to see if it's unlocked probably!

It got so bad at one place that I fish that I just started leaving the window down so they wouldn't break it out. Didn't leave much in the truck but the change cup (with about $20 worth of quarters) was never touched. Guess they figured that if the window was down, there wasn't anything in there LOL.
Man, I hate a thief!

One of the worst things to do is leave cigaretes visable. That and change in the ash tray will assure you of a break in if someone is scoping out the parking lot.
