Hey, got a question for you.
The cat is out of the bag about the new Helix models. I'm very interested in seeing some 360 images on one of these units. Do you think any will be out soon???

 Humminbird helix 9" 10" and 12" series....Think of the Helix series as a wider, brighter, faster unit than the core models. The Helix 12" and 10" SI/GPS combo will have the same XHS-9-HDSI-180-T transducer as the 1199 core models. The Helix 9" SI/GPS combo will have the same XNT-9-SI-180-T as the 899 core model. The Helix 9" and 10" have the same size casing. The ETA date is as follows..... 9" series - 11/2015 10" series - 11/2015 12" series - 2/2016 Here are some screen shots from Doug Vahrenberg for the Helix 9" and 10" Helix 9" DI  Helix 10" w/360

So will 360 be available on Helix 5 models or only the larger ones? The Helix 5 and 7 series are stand alone units. They are not compatible with i-Pilot Link, 360 or net workable. The Helix 9" 10" and 12" series are.

Also, what are the main differences in the Helix and Onix? I was wondering what the prices would be like in the Helix and found this on the Hummingbird website the other day. Scroll to the bottom Looks like I'll be getting a Helix 10 to network with my Onix 10.

10 SI which would be a couple of hundred more?

Even though the current core models are being discontinued they are a fantastic unit and will be backed by Humminbird full manufacture warranty and software updates. The units I currently have will have the latest software version on them. I just put one on my boat. The Helix 10 and 1199 have the same transducer. Watch Doug' video he just released. The New Helix has the very same functionality. As far as which one that is a consumer preference...They are both great units and have great manufacture backing.
