How does the XI5 foot pedal respond? I have a Terrova and the response is kind of slow. I love it other than that.

I have sold many of the xi5' and I have been on my buddy BlueNitro "ron" boat and the pedal was very comfortable and very responsive. The anchor feature was very good at holding us spot on...

That is probably the most favorite feature I found on the Terrova is the anchor button.

Xi5 rotation is faster than the Terrova's and the spot-lock is accurate.
Xi5's footpedal is the unit's weakest component. Weak pedal spring fails to provide resistance for foot feedback and too much pedal movement is necessary to activate motor rotation.
Like my Xi5's function and features better than my previous Terova except their footpedal.

I have used my Xi5 pedal a few times and like it but it does take a little getting used to if you are coming from a cable steer. It is more of a switch which is either on/off. It's not like a cable steer where the more you push the more you turn (or less). The Xi5 has very little push to get it to start turning and you leave it 'on' until you turn to what you want. Make sense? The anchor mode is so much better than the Minn Kota (that is what I had so speak from experience). I highly recommend it and recommend you give Shut-Up-And-Fish (David) a call and get you one. Here is a video I did of how well it holds - watch to the end to see how windy it was. I love mine as well. It anchors on a brush pile and keeps you right there with not drifting off like the Terrova does.
