All this talk about Yellow Magic's and top water made me think. I've had one of my worst (as far as getting many) top water bites this year.
Anyone else had a bad year or is it just me?

I've had one of the best frog years ever for me, and I've done real well on a YM popper and a Chug Bug.
All of the flooded stuff this summer was awesome for frog fishing for me.

I had some great Popper and frog action earlier in the summer but as it went on it slowed down some but still got some good bites on frogs. Switched to the SK Sexy Dawg(Spook) and it really changed some things. Probably got around 25 bites the first time and I havent looked back for around the last month. Been pretty good for me.

Mine has been horrible. Bought some Yellow Magics andnfished them hard and had no success. Just further proof I stink at fishing.

Frog bite was good for me as well for decent size.Yellow magics has caught a few dinkers should get better tho

I have had an incredible year with the popping frog. I've never had a year even close. It's given me an incredible confidence in frog fishing now. I use it in situations I would've never even thought of trying. I have a frog on my deck nearly every trip now.

I've had my best year throwing topwater, YM 90% of the time. I can't catch a cold throwing a frog, but a YM popper, money.

Caught the best top water fish I've ever caught this year on top water. Has been a really good year for me.

Its been my worse year ever with topwaters....but then I haven't been killing them on anything else either.

Just wait. When water temps get to 60ish it will be ON. This warm late fall has been tough on tw bite. I had a lil success Monday and Tuesday am but today with perfect conditions-no wind and cloudy not a bite. Pre front is what I'll blame it on.

Caught 10 on frogs and a couple on spooks yesterday again... The frog has been the best bite obviously for most reading some posts. All the post-spring, early summer rains we had sure did help the frog bite with lots of flooded stuff that only a frog with 65-80lb braid can get in.
