The invoice is the document they must honor. Verbal agreements are not worth the paper they are written on.

C'mon, give up the dealer!! There are too many good ones out there to let the bad ones give them a bad rap. You could help eliminate one right here. By th way J-man, being on a prostaff does not mean you are a pro. In this case the pro means PROMOTIONAL STAFF. You are simply doing something to promote a manufacturer or dealer's product but by no means does it make you a professional angler. Good luck to you rookie!!

3,000 off and you still paid 46,000. That's not a pro-staff deal. If the boat was 49,000 you should have paid somewhere in the range of 40,000. Always think 20-25% off msrp. Or 10% dealer cost. I would sell it and go somewhere else.

As others have stated on here. I don't belive what you actually got was a Pro Staff deal. The Pro Staff deals are totally different and are a lot greater in value from what it sounds like you got. It sounds as if you might have got a V.I.P. sponsorship deal. If you got a Pro Staff deal, you will have forms that you have to fill out, to turn in to the manufacture, updating your progress throughout the year, and will recieve the first such papers on delivery of the boat. You will also get sponsorship deals through most of the other products on the boat, ie trolling motor = Minn Kota or Motor Guide deal, electronics = Lowrance or Humminbird deal. If you didn't get promotional deals on such products as this, you did not get a Pro Staff deal. Unless you have such arrangements already lined up. The V.I.P. deals are basically the same thing alot of people get when they dicker with the salesman enough to get about the amount knocked off you did.
As for listing the dealer and manufacture, I don't believe you need to list it, to bash them or have others bash them, but if you do not know how to contact a higher power in the products purchased, you might want to ask someone on here that has dealings with these people to contact you to help you out. Good Luck and I hope you get it worked out, if you need help you can PM me if you like, and maybe I can help you out a little.
When I spoke of the paperwork above, about your progress throughout the year, they do want to know about tournament finishes, but mainly want to know your progress of selling the product, ie what boat shows you have worked, what bass clubs you have given seminars at, did you work in house dealer shows? That is what they want know mainly. How did you PRO-mote their product.

I just hate to see people being taken advantage of.
"Pro-Staff" is one of the oldest ploys in the business by sleazy dealers.
As stated earlier, real prostaff arraingements are between the angler and the factory, dealer is just a minor part of the equation.
I think someone forgot the K-Y.

I sell boats in corpus christi and sounds like they should do what at takes to make u happy, but as far as the pro staff thing unless u are a serious proven tourn winner or a well established area guide u certainly dont qualify for any different deal than any other retail customer. If u fall for the prostaff pitch thats your mistake, bottom line what ever the final price was you agreed to it and you should live with it.I think they didnt make a smart business decision to let a second boat customer go away mad, but life is too short, go enjoy your boat and next time make them spell everything out on paper and you will be able to avoid this kind of preblem. Not to imply anything but there are alwas two sides to every story.

My advice would be to call the manufacturer of the boat and let them know you are having problems with the dealer. They have lots of pull with these guys especially with regard to incentives. I had to deal with Nautic Star on an issue as my dealer was out of business, they were AWESOME to deal with and worked with me the whole way. I was very impressed with them as they hooked me up with another dealer and did an excellent job taking care of my concerns.

It will not do any good to call if it is a Nitro. Been there and done that with Tracker Marine, they do not care.

DM, You are not the first guy that bought a Nitro that I have heard that from. They have to rate way down on the list as far as customer service. It would be interesting if they published the JD Power report in reverse order.
