Found it up in Wolf, I can't believe people actually do this sort of thing. The lid was bunjied shut when I pulled up on it. I figured I'd make sure no one was getting cheated so I opened the trap up and made sure no bass were inside.

Maybe send the location to a RR game warden?

At least they tried really hard to hide it...
As much as I don't want to believe it, cheating is probably more prevalent than we think in our sport.

what the hell..... Was it at that level? Did it look like it had been there awhile? The lake just came up 16 feet so I am confused on why it would be at normal pool. There hasnt been but one little decent tournament out there since the lake came up. Just doesnt make sense to me?

It could have been there longer... I'm not real sure how fast the lake has dropped, but that cage could possibly have been well under the surface of the water when the perp used it. Might be why they used such a large pole to mark it in the first place.

Looks like a holding pen for bass tournaments or catfish pen for shocking.
TAKE A PHOTO HOME NOT THE FISH. CATCH AND RELEASE Set the hook first and ask questions later.

if this was found in the very back of the creek , then it could be the same one that has been there for many years . I have hooked it many times with worms . Just saying

It was certainly functional, the bunjies were very elastic and fresh not dry rotted or water rotted.
