I hope you're right. Never caught one until the Open at Table Rock when I got to tangle with a 4+lber. Those things are amazing fighters, lots of fun.

I have caught a smallie on a brush hog one other time, and I have caught a small mouth on a trees with a jigs. All the rest of our bites came in less than 4 foot but you can catch 50 plus bass that are less than 10 inches long in just a few hours. Had a good time fishing out of Brads new boat.


I've never caught one, but I've never fished Ray R either. What do they normally bite? Do they tend to bite moving baits more?

Ive caught 6 smallies out of the lake im there 2 to 4 times a week and biggest one i've caught is 4 pounds. Just
have to hit them on the head.



9.9 and a 10.2 at ray Robert January 1st

I think big smallies will start to factor in on tournaments starting next year. I certainly hope so.

I caught one this spring that was 4 1/4 lbs, way up in Indian. Threw a fluke right in its mouth I think. Was a great fight and it was a chunk.
