what a day. 1st cast slab crappie on a clouser...? Then a drum. Then a catfish. Where are the stripers? Finally a few dink stripers. More catfish. Then a big shad....what? About 2lbs! Then larger stripers move in about an hour before the generation starts and it gets fun. The siren sounds and walking back find a 9mm handgun looks like someone tossed into the river. Guys walking back with me will turn it in to the ranger. Then somehow I lose my wallet on the way home...any day fly fishing is a good day.

I was the younger guy who only seemed to be able to catch catfish. The other fellow I was with is a former park ranger and lake manager from the TPWD. He tried to turn the pistol into the ranger's office, but since it was a holiday they were closed. I haven't spoken with him since, but I assume he's turned it into the police. I hope you find your wallet!

Hagphish, Thanks for the update. Really enjoyed fishing next to you guys, good times. Good news on my wallet, a Good Samaritan turned it in to the Frisco police and the returned it to me. I am blessed.

That is great I fish. Had one of my regulars leave his wallet about a year ago. He had just cashed his check and had 1700 cash in it I looked at the id and knew he would be back. When he came running back in looking around I let it go for just a bit before I caved in as I could see he was in 911 panic mode lol. I ask you missing some money the sigh of relief was Pricless when I pulled out his wallet cash intact. He tried to offer me 100 bucks for finding it I would not take it and since then he has probably spent the 1700 with me. Always good to know good people are out there.
