It's been long since I was on this site. I just booked 48 hours trip on the Gulf Eagle on Oct 23 - 25 to test rods and lures. I tried to get on the trip on the Scat Cat arranged by TOO, but there are many guys on the list. I realized the last time I fished on the Gulf Eagle was 2007. Time is flying.  See you guys on the trip.

Capt. Kieth still the GUlf Eagle Capt? It's been a long time since I went on their boat! Good luck Kilsong! I bet it will be a great trip! Make sure you have something similar to the halco 130 in sardine

Good luck Kil !!! Keith quit DSH over a year ago  I never heard where he landed. Not much love for the Halco 130s in some time now. I guess we'll hear more when San Dinh's trip lands today.

I am not going to use Halco 130 because I want to test my own lures. I hope some other fishermen use Falco 130 so that I can compare with my lures. But I am very confident my lures work. They say they got 23 yft on the last trip.

Yep .... I was just watching the 6 o'clock weather. Thursday and Friday are going to be a mess. I don't see this trip going.

It looks we can not make it.
I am not surprised at all as it was not the first time my tuna trips in Gulf of Mexico were cancelled due to weather.
But, we have hot tuna fishing in canyon now and I can go to canyon instead.
I'll try in Nov again to test some lures and rods for tuna in Gulf of Mexico.

Kil Song long time no see... sorry the weather got you buddy. We all hope to see you on a trip again some day sir. Time flies.:) I like to fish with you guys again. I fly down to fish with a private boat on Wed/Thurs. I am eager to test some lures. One-piece popping rods are not ready for this trip and I might come down again to test them to test those rods big yft. Here is a picture of longfin tuna on a jig caught in Hudson Canyon yesterday. I am testing one-piece long rods from inshore species to tuna.
