Has anybody been to the Burnet county park public ramp on the Northeast end of Lake Buchanon this year? Last fall we were up there (stayed at Canyon of the Eagles), and one side of the ramp had collapsed. Does anyone know if it is being fixed or been fixed?

No still broken but the inside lane is still good to use. Went out a couple of days ago.

I watched a guy stick a pontoon boat trailer at that ramp in the fall. Took a minute, but SHE just finally dropped the truck in 4 low and punched the gas. Of course we had just done this about two minutes before, but were too late to warn them.

Do they at least have something to warn people about the broken lane?

We like that ramp cause you can launch easily even when the lake is soooooo low. You may have the front wheels of the truck in the water, but you can still launch...

That ramp is still very scary. The right lane is still completely busted. The left one I refused to use either upon inspection. Ended up paying the $5 at silver creek (well worth it for the sake of my fiberglass and trailer).

Not to turn this into a rant - but WTH happened to the old ramp on 690 that used to be just south of the Burnet Co park? Think it was Burnet city park. Did they actually sell a public park to that new RV resort??!! Is that legal?

That is a good question. For now I guess we will either be careful on the left lane, or just go over to the Llano county park ramp. The Llano county ramp is pretty nice, just an extra few miles, and generally on the wrong end of the lake for me. I may check out the Silver creek ramp also.
