I don't like Power Pro because it does fade and the two spools of it I bought faded quick.
I have some TufLine on a spinning reel and it has held its color very well. I have some McCoy's but I haven't spooled it up yet...that reminds me I need to get that done.
Good luck.

When the Power Pro starts to fade (I like it when it starts to fade because it is not as stiff)use a green or brown Sharpie to recolor the line. I buy the biggest Sharpies that I can find at the office supply store. When I get the Sharpie home I cut a slit in the tip with a razor blade then I just pop the line in and color ten feet or so. I always back the reel with mono at least half full this not only stops the slipping but it allows you to get at least two reel fillings out of a 150 yard spool.

One thing I started doing that seems to have helped is that I put a drop of super glue on the knot. Also the McCoys braid that I use also fades but it hasn't seemed to make a difference, in fact the fall and early winter is when it has faded the most but is when I really start having my best luck especially jig fishing the majority of the time. I never have researched it by having a new spool of line and alternating with the old but in my mind it hasn't made a difference in getting bit.

I use Berkley Fireline on my worm rods and flipping stick. I like it better than Spiderwire-the braid is too limp and the Fusion too coarse. Haven't used Power Pro, but I really like the Fireline. Seems to hold up well, but it does fade some what after a while.

TIPS on using Power Pro: I do use a few yards of mono backing. I don't mind the moss green changing to a brownish color, it seems to still blend into the murky water where I fish. If it gets too fuzzy, I retie, or reverse the line on the reel. Then you have new line where it counts. I always use a palomar knot. Also, I tie an overhand knot on the tag end of the line, about 1/4" from the eye of the hook or jig. Be sure it's tight and centered on the eye so the line doesn't slip through the gap in the eye where it curves around and meets the shank. And BTW, I normally use 65 lb on my baitcasters. 30 lb also works well on a spinning outfit. The McCoys does sound interesting. I do like their mono. A friend of mine said he used the new Stren braid and likes it. I haven't tried it. One last tip: Go to Walmart and buy a crochet needle in the sewing/crafts dept. Get the size just large enough to grab hold of the line. It makes a great tool for taking out backlashes! Be aware of how the line is spooled. If it starts to tangle up, make a long cast and reel it in to straighten it out. Also keep it wound fairly tight on the spool. GL and GF!
