Im going to be "that guy", as I have 0 dog in this fight.. but I'd be pretty damn mad if I fished a non-slot lake trail and was forced to fish a slot lake championship.

Never realized how hard it would be to catch a limit of small fish until yesterday! Threw one back that had gill damage from the hook set then lose by .75#. Definitely sucks throwing back 5 ponders in a tournament!

You guys should start demanding your tournament directors choose any lake other than Fork. .89 lbs/fish average? That's pitiful. Just imagine how slow it'd be if the 6-10" fish weren't there, pitiful right now. You can sack up on sandbass, I can at least catch them...

My son loved them on Sunday but really thought he had something when he hooked into a 5 lber. Pete you'll get them next year.

That is why I did not fish all the ones in the regular season. Did not care to fish a slot lake for a championship. I communicated in October of last year during the championship on Cedar Creek that I did not think it was a good idea. I will be happy to fish a slot lake for a championship, you just provide each boat with a marshal and scales and I am good to go. Hope they do not do that again next year.

I did and I will. I know of about 20 other people that did not fish it due to it being on a slot lake. Regardless of what we say, numbers speak for themselves. If you are going have only one championship and not two like in years past. Then have it on more of a central lake like Toledo. I am not complaining by no means, I just won't fish it and that is my .02. Congrats to the winner and those that finished in the money.
