Anyone fished it lately? Going to try and put my dad on some fish Saturday. Is it worth going?

Go to the island by the dam, stay in between the island and the 2 bouys in about 15 FOW, fan cast t-rig fluke to get the schoolers active, turn on hydrowave if you have one and when they start schooling, (what I did) throw a shad colored fluke, weightless with a barrel swivel about 9 inches up, and throw it out into the schoolers and burn it back to the boat. Also do a few quick skips on top and stop it for about 3 seconds and repeat. They were absolutely crushing our flukes for an hour non-stop. Turn your trolling motor on high, they move around pretty quick. Also, if it seems like they are slowing down some, just keep casting wherever and you'll get bit. They are lurking around! We had a 35-45 fish day last weekend. Good luck!

if you are going to be out there on Saturday you might as well arrive "early" and fish in the Athens High School Fishing Team fund raiser tournament. Athens Bass Club is putting it on for the Athens HS Team. Good door prizes. Good cause, but still a decent payout. Team format; $130 to enter. Check it out in the tournament section.
You already know where the fish are. Just a matter of who catches an "over" to go with all those unders that are schooling.

by-the-way: better get there "early" if you want to fish between the buoys behind the island.
