I can count the number of really productive days I have had fishing at Lelah on two fingers I'm not sure why I find myself compelled to keep returning to their randomly 4 to 5 times a year hopefully this trip will be a successful one but I'm not holding my breath

I have never caught much at LLELA, either. Sometimes I feel like I spent $ and 30 minutes driving to and from a place just to practice cast. There are some nice carp there. But, I have never been able to get them to eat a fly.
Dang'it!!!
I just gave myself a reason to go back... Dag-nabit!!!

Anybody want to offer me some advice on carp fishin at LLELA? The only explanation I can come up with is that I do not fish heavy enough flies.

At llela your probably seeing a mixture of buffalo and river Carp suckers - both of which can be tricky to catch on a fly. I have seen very few common carp out there
