Thinking about getting a new fish finder and was leaning towards a Humminbird Onix. If anyone has any opinions on these (good or bad)the info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Only reason I do not have an Onix is that it is out of my price range. If you can afford it, get it, you will not regret it. I don't care if the Helix is coming out with the bigger screen, it will not do near what the Onix can do, i.e. Helix has no I pilot or 360 capabilities for expansion. I personally have the 999 and I really like it. Just my 2

That ION 12 looks hard to beat. At this point, I think I would have to go with the ION 12 if I was going to spend the money it takes to get the ONIX 10. So many options though. You can read for hours! Lol!

And I still think the 1199 is all I would ever need. I don't think anything else would necessarily help me catch more fish.

I gotta ask, did we all get taken in by this post. Notice the location of Hoff1967. Isn't that the lake in Alabama where Humminbird is manufactured. I could be wrong. but it sure looks like that lakes name.

Just my 2 The helix 12 will have a lot more functionality than the current helix5...it will link and I'm guessing be just as capable as the 1199...will also be available in chirp...
I'm gonna miss her....
