Well, here's the deal. It's was either give up fishing or find a way to fish in the shade, sitting down and with no stepping up and down. (one level deck). I think this will at least let me fish like I'm on the dock but where the fish are. May limit me somewhat but I would'nt bet on it. Excellent!! Glad you figured out a way to get back to chasing them out in the lake. I do think a Lazy Boy would sure make a fine addition.

I did something similar a couple of months ago. I bought a new boat and tried equipping it out for my aging body. I went with a bay boat so as to not sit in low seats to help my knees, put a Lowrance HDS 12 on it to be easier to see, trailer has an easy step so I dont have to craw off the bow to wench the boat on the trailer, installed a motorguide Xi5 trolling motor to releive the work load of hovering over brush piles, got a bimini top to get shade during the hot months, and got a couple of shallow water anchors installed.
I also plan to expand my horizons and start doing some bay fishing for sea trout and red fish on the TX and LA coast lines.
My daughter said I probably extended my fishing years by getting this boat.
If we concentrated on the really important stuff in life, there'd be a shortage of fishing poles
