Went Friday afternoon and stayed at Sulphur cabins. (Very nice, will stay again)
Going to target crappie since hybrid/sandy reports have been so bad. Fished timber and shallow brush but nothing. Went to a point and found some good size sandies. 14"-16". 1 good 5-6lb hybrid. Pulled some drag. 10 FOW. Went back out sat morning and found them on same point and went to another and found some more. Not huge numbers but pretty decent for this year. Even had about 30 seconds of schooling that I caught 1 14" before they went down. Didn't keep or weigh any but all were FAT. Lost quite a few since I cut 1 hook off treble and mash barbs down on other 2. Tried to go back sat afternoon but north wind made it too hard on south side of lake. Hopefully Cooper will turn on as cooler temps come back.
