Well if you can beat Mother Nature then let's join in and do some ice fishing. The Austin Metro will be shut down tomorrow. I guess that means I will be looking for more fishing gear and thinking of warmer weather....

Be safe my fellow crappie anglers!

All the schools and most major employers are closed already. The weather folks are calling this ice storm one of the more significant icing events in recent memory. Looks like it will last as long as Wednesday and may be back this weekend. The weather folks are estimating about an inch of the nasty stuff. My office was closed today and will be tomorrow. I am already getting cabin fever, I rather be fishing then watching it on TV. Tomorrows TV agenda, Earnests Crappie DVD and work on the tackle. Another side benefit, no jury duty tomorrow. smile

Yes sir, the weather is creating some serious havic down there. Pretty bad if you ask me, when you shutdown two lanes on Mopac just because of a water puddle...

This must have them in a tizzzy down there. Enjoy the video, I might have to get one of those...

My car is covered in ice right now and it is continuing to come down harder. Right now in Austin we are having a "snow shower" according to weather.com

No fishing tomorrow.

The weather was pretty nasty here in Lago VIsta,we had some snow yesterday. It has been sleeting off and on since Sunday. The roads are still iced over, probably will start melting tomorrow, as well are still at 30 degrees right now.I did get some fishing in sat, not real good luck, caught a few on jigs.

We've been below freezing since about Midnight Saturday and have had, at least 3/4 inch of ice on the vehicles. It rained 6-8 inches Saturday/Sunday and then froze solid. My kids were out all week and don't report til 10am tomorrow.

We had one like this exactly 10 years ago.....Awesome to look at, Crappy to drive on....

Be Careful Out There!

I knocked off a good half inch of ice off the truck today. The roads where a bit better today which allowed us to drive down the street to a local hill. The kids had a bad case of cabin fever and needed to get out. I was able to put to test my new winter gear. All was happy!

I hate to say this but I am really ready to get back to work tomorrow! We have been closed all week.
